Short story contest
Objective
To increase motivation among teachers to focus on alcohol awareness in class as teachers are generally more willing to set time aside for alcohol awareness when it forms part of the curriculum.
Description
The short story contest on the subject of Adolescents and Alcohol is organised for all secondary school students aged 14-16. The contest requires that the short story be no longer than two A4 pages. Students are able to submit their stories individually or through their teachers. They compete for a first, second and third prize, and the 12 best short stories are published at the website alkoholdialog.dk.
The competition is conducted every year as a recurring event and ran from October with winners published in January the following year.
Results
360 students aged 14-16 submitted a short story in 2018.
